Laura Greenwood (Grace Penwarden, Echo Beach)

“Grace is possibly the most provocatively dressed character out of the bunch. She’s very feisty and you can’t really understand why she is so horrible about everything. However, as you start to understand the dynamics of the family, you begin to realise why she is the way she is.

“As concepts go, this is groundbreaking. You have to watch both shows to fully appreciate it, as there are lots of jokes in Echo Beach which would be lost otherwise. And Moving Wallpaper is just hilarious.

“If it went to a second series I’d really like Grace to have a love interest. All the other characters are getting love scenes except me. There is a little bit between Ian and Grace - but it never goes anywhere. I just really want Grace to get with a hot man, a bit of a bad boy who leads her further astray.

“It was great filming down in Cornwall although the weather was just dreadful. There was a beach party scene where we were getting drenched and yet everyone who watches it says how brilliantly sunny it all looks! My favourite scene is probably just after Grace has blown up the caravan and she has quite an emotional moment with her father Mark – it’s really quite intense. I also really enjoyed filming the final scene in the show with Jimmy where everything seems to be falling apart for both of them. Ed was absolutely wonderful in it - watching his eyes welling up with tears made the scene so much easier to do. I couldn’t have done it without him.”
