How did you get the role of Zoe O'Donnell in Out of The Blue?
My manager from Keane Kids sent me for a casting. I went for the casting just before
Christmas 2007, then I was excited all Christmas Holidays waiting to find out if I
had got the role.
As Zoe you use a great range of facial expressions, who has helped you with
your acting?
I've studied acting since I was 4 at Keane Kids, but Zoë is just like me so I just act normal.
What was your favourite storyline in Out of the Blue?
When my mum got shot - because it was so dramatic and different from real life.
Did you find any of the storylines hard to act?
No, I like acting in all different ways. It was hard not to laugh sometimes when I'm supposed to be serious, in some of the scenes.
What did you most enjoy about working on the show?
Making lots of friends like "big Charlie" (Charlotte Gregg) who was really nice to me. She is still my friend now, we go to the beach and stuff like that.
I believe you have got a part in the second series of Underbelly. Can you tell us a bit more about it?
It's even more dramatic than“Out of the Blue”, which was exciting. I play Martine Kane, and my Mum is played by Kate Ritchie so I got to meet her, which was great as I used to watch her on Home and Away. It was fun to have another child to act with as I have a little brother on Underbelly and he is so cute. It's hard not to laugh at his happy face though, when I am supposed to be looking sad.
Though you are only 8 you have also worked as a model, done commercials and a corporate video, and write songs. Do you enjoy all these as much as acting?
Yes, I want to do more of all of them!
What do your friends at school think about you being on TV?
They think it's cool, but we don't talk about it too much.
What do you like to do when you aren't working?
Play on the computer game "Club Penguin" and do gymnastics and ice skating.
I know lots of people have been very impressed by your acting range. What would you like to do next in acting terms?
I'd like to have a main role in a movie! (like Freddie Highmore or Dakota Fanning as I like all their films).
