Revelations DVD
First screened in 1994, the first thirteen episodes of Revelations are now available on DVD.
Everyone has a secret and no-one is quite who they seem in Revelations, and the steamy soap that revolved around the lives (or should that be lies) of the Rattigan family is compulsive viewing. |

Paul Shelley and Judy Loe lead a talented cast as Bishop Edward and his icy, but dependable, wife Jessica. It is down to Jessica to coolly and calmly deal with the skeletons dangling in the family closet. As the series develops it seems there are no limits to what she will do to protect her loved ones.
Episode one starts with a wedding as broody Gabriel marries sweet Rachel after a whirlwind romance. Through Rachel, the newcomer, we get to know the Rattigan family and their friends and staff.

There are enough twists and turns to keep you glued to the screen throughout these episodes. The cast are believable, even if many of the characters are not likeable, but the stand out performance for this reviewer was that of Margo Gunn as Anne. Watch out too for an early entry on the CV of Hollyoaks and Brookside favourite Ben Hull (below with Emma Roberts).

The only complaint about this compilation is that we are left on a knife-edge with many unanswered questions, begging for more! Please Network DVD, bring out the next Revelations DVD as soon as you can!
