Monday 30th August

Steph (Carley Stenson) and Gilly (Anthony Quinlan) happily reflect on the success of the charity pants walk, then Steph heads off for her appointment and, afterwards, proudly presents the cheque to the hospital. But, back at home, she must sit Gilly down to drop her bombshell: there's nothing the doctors can do for her anymore. Cindy (Stephanie Waring) worries that the identity of her mystery man will be revealed when India (Beth Kingston) questions her about him. Later, Alistair (Terence Harvey) turns up, wanting an answer to his big question and tries to convince Cindy to accept his proposal. Malachy (Glen Wallace) and Lynsey (Karen Hassan) enjoy flirting with each other, until they are interrupted by Brendan (Emmett J Scanlan). At work, Malachy is frustrated when Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe) turns up, dressed to kill, for a meeting with a mystery guy; Brendan enjoys watching him squirm. Determined to make something of his life, and keen to be acquainted with all the good looking female students, Darren (Ashley Taylor Dawson) takes pleasure in announcing to a horrified Jem (Helen Russell-Clark) that he's been accepted onto an accountancy course. Writer: Maurice Bessman, Dir: Nicky Higgens; Prod Co: Lime

Tuesday 31st August

Steph (Carley Stenson) gathers her family round the table to break the news that her cancer is terminal. As they all try and take it in, Tom (Ellis Hollins) angrily flees the house, accusing Steph of breaking her promise that she won't die on him. Elsewhere, Lynsey (Karen Hassan) tries her best to act casual when Cheryl (Bronagh Waugh) reports that Malachy (Glen Wallace) might have a mystery girl on the go. As Alistair (Terence Harvey) romances an awkward Cindy (Stephanie Waring), the love birds are interrupted by India (Beth Kingston) and Tex (Bianca Hendrickse-Spendlove) who angrily accuse Cindy of being nothing more than a gold-digger. Meanwhile, seeing Anita (Saira Choudhry) down in the dumps and bored with life, Eva (Sheree Murphy) conjures a plan to spice things up: she approaches Duncan (Dean Aspen) and sets him up on a date with Anita. Writer: Perrie Balthazar, Dir: Nicky Higgens; Prod Co: Lime

Wednesday 1st September

As they prepare to start their first day at Hollyoaks High, Sinead (Stephanie Davies) shows Finn (Connor Wilkinson) exactly how she's going to make waves. When Finn bumps into Amber (Lydia Lloyd Henry), she mistakes his friendliness for a crush and shoots him down, but she seems impressed by Sinead's rebellious streak. Alistair (Terence Harvey) harries a reluctant Cindy (Stephanie Waring) to sign the prenuptial agreement, keen to make a start with the wedding arrangements. But, while Cindy philosophises over the brevity of life, Alistair collapses in agony to the floor. Elsewhere, Steph (Carley Stenson) is shocked by Gilly's (Anthony Quinlan) denial of the facts, firmly telling him he must accept the reality of the situation or she can't marry him. Meanwhile, fresh from his promotion to Acting Head, Rob (Gary Cargill) offers a delighted Eva (Sheree Murphy) a job of Design Assistant. Incensed by Eva's stunt, Anita (Saira Choudhry) tells her she's had enough of her interfering in her life… and never wants to see her again. Writer: Alanna Hallum, Dir: Nicky Higgens; Prod Co: Lime

Thursday 2nd September

Sinead (Stephanie Davies) and Finn (Connor Wilkinson) have a heart-sinking moment when they see Rob (Gary Cargill) trying to join in a kick-about at lunchtime. But his sporting digression makes him late home, causing a panicked Diane (Alex Fletcher) to ask Sinead (Stephanie Davies) to administer her IVF shot. Elsewhere, India (Beth Kingston) frets over Alastair (Terence Harvey) in his hospital bed, and is displeased to see Cindy (Stephanie Waring) doing the same. Cindy assures India she is genuinely worried about Alastair and hands back the engagement ring. But, when Darren (Ashley Taylor Dawson) scrutinises the pre-nuptial agreement, his reading of it gives Cindy some food for thought. Meanwhile, Gilly (Anthony Quinlan), heartbroken at having been rejected by Steph (Carley Stenson), turns down Rhys's (Sonny Flood) offer of support; and Eva (Sheree Murphy) makes a pass at Ravi (Stephen Uppal)... and he gives in, so she takes the opportunity to persuade him to let her stay in the flat a while longer. Writer: Matthew Westwood, Dir: Nicky Higgens; Prod Co: Lime

Friday 3rd September

When Eva (Sheree Murphy) sees Alistair (Terence Harvey) drowning his sorrows, she wastes no time introducing herself. But, when Cindy (Stephanie Waring) phones looking to meet up, Alistair tells her where to find him, then orders a round of champagne for Eva. Sinead (Stephanie Davies) still feels put out that her dad is Acting Head of her school. Diane (Alex Fletcher) tries to assure her it's not such a big deal, but things are strained between them. India (Beth Kingston) and Tex (Bianca Hendrickse-Spendlove) are stuck for a place to live. When Alistair turns up, full of life, they think his recent medical scare might have been just for show. And Tex is glad that Cindy's seemingly backed off from seeing him… until she and India next catch sight of her with the ring back on her finger. Elsewhere, Ste (Kieron Richardson) spots Brendan (Emmett J Scanlan) with a mysterious package. He pretends not to have noticed as Brendan hastily stuffs it out of sight, but when Brendan's back is turned, Ste examines the parcel; it looks dodgy, so Ste decides to hide it in a safer spot than Brendan chose. Writer: Matthew Westwood, Dir: Nicky Higgens; Prod Co: Lime
