Doctors recaps for last week

Monday 12th May

Ruth is given a lift to work by Davey in the first of this week's visits to the Midlands health centre. All seems quite sweet between the two of them, but it's slightly odd as Davey walks her to the door and clearly has her keys. He opens the surgery for her, kisses her cheek and goes off to work.

Ruth then spends her day helping a desperate young pregnant girl who is currently living rough. It becomes apparent that the young mum-to-be is hiding from someone, and she eventually reveals that she is acting as a surrogate mum and has run away from the family when the relationship broke down.

Meanwhile, Vivien has a nightmare journey to work due to problems with the bus service and goes into full battleaxe mode, spending most of the day trying to make a complaint.

Elsewhere, Eva has spent the weekend with Jimmi, prompting the conversation about her moving back in. Because Eva is unnerved by his bachelor-pad décor, Jimmi tells her that she can change anything if she agrees to move in. When he gets home, he discovers that she takes him at his word.

Ruth is played by Selina Chilton, Davey by Gavin Bell, Vivien by Anita Carey, Eva by Angela Lonsdale and Jimmi by Adrian Lewis Morgan.

Tuesday 13th May

Vivien, no longer trusting the new bus routes, boldly announces that she has decided to drive to work from now on, as the drama set in a Midlands health centre continues.

The one minor problem is that she hasn't actually passed her test. Confident as ever, she asserts that she will only need few refresher lessons in order to pass.

Keen to get started, she asks Jimmi's advice about buying a car and ends up railroading him into going to a car auction with her the following day.

Elsewhere, Julia's good mood doesn't last when she sees an article in the Letherbridge Gazette headlined "Surgery of Death".

Nick, meanwhile, helps a boy who claims he has a chocolate allergy in order to avoid working in his mother's sweet shop.

Vivien is played by Anita Carey, Jimmi by Adrian Lewis Morgan, Julia by Diane Keen and Nick by Michael McKell.

Wednesday 14th May

When an older woman goes to The Campus for her pregnancy blood tests, George has to tell her that the tests reveal that she is HIV positive, as the Midlands-based medical drama continues. She is pregnant by her younger lover, and George encourages her to talk to him.

However, as she leaves the surgery, she is confronted by her ex-husband who wants to borrow some money from her. George has to calm her down when she accuses him of giving her HIV, but when he convinces her that it can't possibly be him, it leaves only one person...

Vivien, meanwhile, takes Jimmi to the car auction, yet completely ignores his advice and walks away with a huge Saab after bullying the man into delivering it for her.

Elsewhere, Eva broaches the subject of selling Jimmi's flat and the two of them buying something together. Initially, he is slightly freaked as this is a big thing, but later tells her they should do it.

Julia later asks George and Ruth to put their thinking caps on as to what to do about the problems with the campus surgery. Ruth suggests a meeting, which Julia thinks is an excellent idea. George is then left bemused when Ruth suddenly pulls out of it at the last minute.

George is played by Stirling Gallacher, Vivien by Anita Carey, Jimmi by Adrian Lewis Morgan, Eva by Angela Lonsdale, Julia by Diane Keen and Ruth by Selina Chilton.

Thursday 15th May

When a notorious gang leader dies on a local estate, Eva briefs the CID team that there may be a drugs turf war, as the drama set in a Midlands health centre continues. The leader died from a drugs overdose and his younger brother is taking over the reigns.

Eva later clashes with Reverend Grace Sumner, a local vicar. The defiant vicar believes that prayer patrols are the answer to safer streets.

Meanwhile, back at the Mill, Vivien is on the lookout for the delivery of her new car, and proudly shows it off to Nick and Daniel when it finally arrives. She then asks Julia if she'll take her out on a lesson.

Jimmi calls Eva to tell her he won't be home for dinner as he has a meeting at Julia's to discuss the Campus Surgery. When the call ends, Eva continues to show an estate agent around the flat.

Later that evening, as everyone gathers at Julia's, Ruth is notable in her absence, which annoys Julia, as it was her idea.

Eva is played by Angela Lonsdale, Reverend Grace Sumner by guest star Cathy Tyson, Vivien by Anita Carey, Nick by Michael McKell, Daniel by Matthew Chambers, Julia by Diane Keen and Jimmi by Adrian Lewis Morgan.

Friday 16th May

Melody helps a woman come to terms with the death of her daughter, but not before she is hospitalised with gallstones, in today's visit to the Midlands health centre.

Later, Julia and Vivien go out driving, but the lesson doesn't go well.

Elsewhere, at The Campus, Michelle asks Ruth why she wasn't at the meeting. Ruth claims it's because Davey's sister is staying, but Davey almost fails to corroborate the story when Michelle asks him about it later.

Meanwhile, when Davey and Ruth get home, he is so annoyed by Ruth's behaviour that he makes her sit outside, in the cold, all night.

Melody is played by Elizabeth Bower, Julia by Diane Keen, Vivien by Anita Carey, Michelle by Donnaleigh Bailey, Ruth by Selina Chilton and Davey by Gavin Bell.
