Doctors episodes this week

Monday 9th June

A teenage girl inspired by her parents' perfect marriage is convinced she's found "the one", and gets engaged, in the first of this week's visits to the Midlands-based health centre. When she picks up a sexually transmitted infection, however, she unravels a chain of lies.

Julia, meanwhile, helps the young girl realise that everybody makes mistakes and that she should forgive her father and her fiancé.

Elsewhere, Vivien is preparing for when Ruth covers for her when she is away on her driving course. Convinced she will return to complete chaos, she leaves colour-coded notes wherever she can so there will be less chance of Ruth messing up her systems.

Julia is played by Diane Keen, Vivien by Anita Carey and Ruth by Selina Chilton.

Tuesday 10th June

Michelle sorts out a complicated situation, in the latest slice of drama at the Midlands medical centre. When a woman carrying a surrogate baby for her sister realises that an affair with her brother-in-law is not what she wants, she thinks that an abortion might be the best way to save her sister's marriage.

Julia reminds George that her supervision of Daniel is coming to an end so she will need the paperwork to send to the GMC. George tells her it's all in hand – but, naturally, she has forgotten. Daniel invites her to his place for lunch to make a start on it. George notices Daniel is lonely and invites him for dinner later in the week.

Ruth covers on reception at the Mill while Vivien attends her driving course, but Vivien keeps phoning to check up on her.

Things are awkward between Archie and Melody, with Melody still adamant that JJ is clean and not taking drugs. Though Archie manages to persuade her to go to lunch with him, things don't get any better, as Melody suggests they take a break while JJ is around. When Archie goes to see JJ later at Melody's flat he sees him exchanging drugs for money again.

Michelle is played by Donnaleigh Bailey, Julia by Diane Keen, George by Stirling Gallacher, Daniel by Matthew Chambers, Ruth by Selina Chilton, Vivien by Anita Carey, Archie by Matt Kennard, Melody by Elizabeth Bower and JJ by George Rainsford.

Wednesday 11th June

Nick and Jimmi come into conflict over the treatment of an agoraphobic young mum who can't come to the surgery to see Nick, as the drama set in a Midlands health centre continues. Jimmi makes a home visit and tells her she may have an anxiety problem, which Nick isn't happy about. When her husband insists they go for a walk, she becomes panicked and phones Nick, who calms her down. He then helps her husband understand what is wrong with her.

Archie tries to talk to Melody about JJ but she shuts him up by announcing they are taking a break. When she goes home, however, she discovers a rolled-up note and traces of white powder. Melody mentions Archie's accusations to JJ, and although he admits he's using drugs, he denies dealing.

It's moving day for Jimmi and Eva, but Jimmi is working, so has to leave Eva to it. When he finally gets home, their unpacking is interrupted by Archie who, worried about Melody, ends up confiding in them both about what he knows about JJ. Eva suggests arresting him away from the flat so as not to get Melody involved, but can't give Archie any reassurances. Reluctantly he tells Eva where she can find JJ.

Nick is played by Michael McKell, Jimmi by Adrian Lewis Morgan, Archie by Matt Kennard, Melody by Elizabeth Bower, JJ by George Rainsford and Eva by Angela Lonsdale.

Thursday 12th June

When her mother dies, old letters lead Lynne to the Mill in search of her father, as the Midlands medical drama continues. Ruth is a school friend of hers and ends up helping her track down the man.

Archie bumps into Melody and is wracked with guilt about his conversation with Eva regarding JJ. Worried that Melody will get caught up in events, he tries to convince Eva not to arrest JJ – but it's too late.

Elsewhere, George finally gets Ronnie to agree to Daniel coming for dinner. In return, she has to attend a boring lunch with one of his work colleagues.

Ruth is played by Selina Chilton, Archie by Matt Kennard, Melody by Elizabeth Bower, Eva by Angela Lonsdale, JJ by George Rainsford, George by Stirling Gallacher and Ronnie by Sean Gleeson. Lynne is played by guest star Catherine Tyldesley.

Friday 13th June

Melody is late for her meeting with Nick because she goes to get JJ from the police station, as the drama set in a Midlands health centre continues. When she finally gets to work, Nick tells her he is recommending a further six months training for her.

Archie goes to see her to try to talk things through but she makes it perfectly clear that she wants nothing more to do with him.

Daniel goes for dinner at George and Ronnie's, and Ronnie begins a macho interrogation of Daniel. At the end of the night, Daniel feels even more isolated.

Melody is played by Elizabeth Bower, JJ by George Rainsford, Nick by Michael McKell, Archie by Matt Kennard, Daniel by Matthew Chambers, George by Stirling Gallacher and Ronnie by Sean Gleeson.
